Odayarkoil is a small village, consisting of two administrative units, viz. Keelakovilpathu and Vadapatty with a population of not more than 1000 households and 5000 people. Sri Geetagovinda Pratisthana presented Third Edition of Ashtapadi Festival, The Complete Experience of Jayadeva’s Geetagovinda on March 9 &10, 2013, 6.30pm at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.   In this is 3rd edition of this unique festival, the Geetagovinda Pratisthana (www.geetagovinda.org) presented thirteen of the songs of the Geetagovinda in major Indian classical dance forms – Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam. The festival featured some classic choreography by all time greats like Kelucharan Mahapatra, Vempatti Chinna Satyam as well as some recent and new choreography. Senior dancers Madhavi Mudgal (Odissi), Deepti Omcheri Bhalla (Mohiniattam) and young maestros Sathyanarayana Raju (Bharatnatyam) and Srimayi Vempati (Kuchipudi) performed in the festival.
